| Funeral services for Evelyn Chambers James, age 88, of Clarkesville, will be held on Monday, July 7, 2008, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Burial will follow the service in Alley’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. James passed away Friday, July 4, 2008, following an extended illness. Born in Banks County on February 27, 1920, Mrs. James was the daughter of the late John Henry and Jessie Chambers. Mrs. James was a member of Alleys Chapel United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Harold James. Survivors include daughter and son in law Helen and Steve Seabolt of Clarkesville, sisters Nell James of Clarkesville and Annette Marvin of Orlando, Florida, four grandchildren Steven, Derrick, and Randy Seabolt and Amber Scott, as well as five great –grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 5495 Highway 197 South, Clarkesville, on Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
