Derrell Eugene Maxwell

Derrell Eugene Maxwell, age 80 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 following an extended illness.

Born in Bakersfield, California on February 09, 1940, he was a son of the late Ivan & Ruby Tapp Maxwell. Derrell proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a self-employed contractor for IBM Computers for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Rebecca Spires Maxwell; brothers, Bobby, Leroy, Billy, Guy, & Gordon Maxwell; & sister, Patsy Foster.

Survivors include his daughter, Melanie Maxwell of Clarkesville, GA; stepdaughter & son-in-law, Sharon & Bob Belew; grandchildren, Catherine Parker, Jason Parker, and Rachel & Logan Hill; sisters, Sandra Harper & Shirley Cookston; nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Mr. Maxwell’s wishes were to be cremated.
