Ellen (Norris) Elrod

Funeral services for Ellen Norris Elrod, age 91 of Demorest, will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Bethel Temple Church.  Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick and Rev. John Reeser will officiate with interment to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Elrod passed away Friday, August 17, 2018.

Born in Habersham County on March 2, 1927, Mrs. Elrod was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lucinda Gabriel’s Norris.  Mrs. Elrod retired from the Russell Corporation and she was a member of Bethel Temple Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elrod is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Elrod, daughter Marsha Elrod, brothers Jackson Norris and Lewis Norris and sisters Lucy Lumpkin, Louise N. Miller and Emma Sliger.

Survivors include nephew Carl Justice of Demorest, niece Roxan Justice of Demorest, grandchildren Audrey Loggins (Corey) of Demorest and Justin Justice of Demorest, sister June Howard of Toccoa, as well as several other nieces and nephews..

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 19, 2018 from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM
