Estelle Susie (Wood) Adams

Funeral services for Estelle Susie Wood Adams, age 86 of Clarkesville, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Rev. Jerry Karnes, Rev. Josh Taylor, Rev. Tony Kemp and Rev. Tony Goss will officiate with interment to follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

Born in the Batesville Community on April 5, 1932, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of the late Oliver John and Ella Smith Wood.  She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years John Calvin Adams and sisters Hazel Hooper, Gertrude Smith and Eunice Allen.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law Rebecca Goss Webb (Bobby) of Clarkesville and Cynthia Adams Ivey (Ben) of Seneca, South Carolina, sons and daughters in law Calvin Adams (Diana) of Dalton and Tommy Adams (Janet) of Mt. Airy, sisters Pauline Morrison and Lougene Wall of Clarkesville and Katrina Robertson of Baldwin, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Marinell Batson and caregivers Jan Lovell, Judy Bacon and Angela Frady.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 30th from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
