Jessie Faye Collins Ward

Jessie Faye Collins Ward, age 78 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.

Born in Demorest, Georgia on October 15, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Frank Collins & Molly Belle Ramey Collins Smith. Mrs. Ward worked for Short Manufacturing for a number of years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attended Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Ben Thomas “Bee” Garrett and her brother, Grady Collins.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Billy M. Ward of Mt. Airy, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee & Janis Gosnell of Cleveland, GA; Tony & Ronda Gosnell of Nicholson, GA; Junior & Alicia Garrett of Baldwin, GA; Ben & Tammy Garrett of Cleveland, GA; Thomas & Yolanda Garrett of Cornelia, GA; brothers, Wadie Collins; Donald Smith; Clifton Smith; sister, Maggie Nelms; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Irvin & Rev. John A. Harris officiating.
