Reuel R. Broadway, Sr.

Reuel R. Broadway, Sr. age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Davison, Michigan.

Born in Mitchell County, Georgia on December 03, 1932, he was a son of the late Alphonso & Ester Owens Broadway. Reuel was a retired Chief Building Inspector for Habersham County. He was a beloved father, grandfather and most loyal friend to all who knew him. Reuel loved scuba diving and flying planes. Most of all, he loved his family and friends, and his mountain home that he shared with his late Bassett Hound, Saddie Mae.

In addition to his parents, Reuel was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Jergen Broadway; second wife, June Stromquist Broadway; & brother, Ronald Broadway.

Survivors include his children, Debra Champion of Snellville GA; Teri Broadway, and Michelle Craton of Davison MI; Ricky & Ann Broadway of Thomasville, GA;
grandchildren, Nicole & Michael Smith of Ball Ground, GA; Alexis McDaniel & Aaron McDaniel of Snellville GA; great-grandchildren, Brittany & Logan Jennings of Cumming, GA; Tiffany & Taylor Hughes of Dawsonville, GA; Bradley Smith of Ball Ground, GA;  special friend and daughter, Sandra Stover of Clarkesville, GA; & many more close friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Reuel’s life will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Unity Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Georgia.

The family will hold a reception at the Habersham County Fire Station No. 15 immediately following the service.
