Robert Mitchell "Mitch" Black

Robert Mitchell Black (Mitch) of Clarkesville passed away April 22, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mitch was preceded in death by his mother and father, Joe and Marie Wilbanks Black of Clarkesville.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy, who was the love of his life.  His children, Hunter Breland and fiancé, Terri Partain, Meghan and Matt Daniels, Maddie and Seth Ash and his beloved grandchildren, Marley, Bryson, Audrey, Cayden, Quinn and Verbena.

He is also survived by two sisters, Diane and Franklin Brown of Clarkesville and Kim and Holman Waters of Acworth, nieces and nephews, Jill Foster, Scott Brown, Kristi Brown, Andrew and Sarah Waters, aunts Mildred Harber, Edna Black, Rebecca Booth, Alice Black, Bonnie Black and Janell Black, as well as numerous cousins.

Mitch was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and attended Good News Baptist Church.

To Mitch’s family and friends, he will lovingly be remembered as the epitome of a country gentleman.

Memorials will be welcomed by Good News Baptist Church Youth or the Be The Match Bone Marrow Donor Program.
