Sue Christine (Herron) Chastain

Funeral services for Sue Christine Herron Chastain, age 64 of Clarkesville, will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Harvest Christian Church.  Rev. Michael Taylor will officiate with interment to follow the service in Harvest Christian Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Chastain passed away August 8, 2018.  

Born on October 31, 1953 in Bryson City, North Carolina, Mrs. Chastain was the daughter of Matilda Kirkland Herron and the late W. Odell Herron.  Mrs. Chastain was a caregiver for many years and she was a member of Harvest Christian Church.  She loved her family and her little dog Alice.  In addition to her father, Mrs. Chastain is preceded in death by son Mark Lee Chastain.

Survivors include husband Marcus “Pete” Chastain of Clarkesville, mother Matilda Kirkland Herron, son and daughter in law Ricky and Cindy Chastain of Demorest, son Trenton Chastain of Clarkesville, brothers Clayton Herron of Demorest and Donald Herron of Demorest, sisters Mildred Ramey of Clarkesville, Jean Hilderhoff of Cornelia, Carolyn Whitworth of Demorest and Judy Brown of Jefferson.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
