Terry Dwight Chastain

Funeral services for Terry Dwight Chastain, age 64, of Clarkesville will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Larry Bryson and Rev. Kenneth Nicholson will officiate with interment to follow the service in Enotah Baptist Church Cemetery, Hiawassee, Georgia.

Mr. Chastain passed away Friday, November 24, 2017.

Born in Towns County on December 1, 1952, Mr. Chastain was the son of the late Terrell and Jeanette Nicholson Chastain.  He was a United States Coast Guard veteran having served during the Vietnam War and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Leon Williams Post # 4346 in Toccoa. Mr. Chastain was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hiawassee and he was a Bus Driver with the Habersham County Board of Education.  He was also a member of Jeanette's Girls Relay for Life Team. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chastain is preceded in death by niece Molli Roach, grandparents Boyd and Monterey Nicholson and Thomas and Martha Chastain and nephew Thomas W. Chastain.

Survivors include brother Tommy Chastain of Clarkesville, brother and sister in law Greg and Amber Chastain of Mt. Airy, sisters and brothers in law Joann and Donald Teal, Joyce and John Cross, Janice and Richard Justus all of Clarkesville, sisters Debbie Nix and Sharon Roach of Clarkesville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
