Willie Henry Adams, Sr.

Willie Henry Adams, Sr (Papa Willie), 70 years young of Clarkesville came into this world on April 18, 1947 in Houston County and went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2018.

Willie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He retired from Wilbanks Lumber Company with 39 years of loyal service.   Willie never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Willie loved life and was a very loving and compassionate person. He was a member at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church in Hollywood, GA.  Willie loved the blues and listening to blues music, something he passed down to his kids.  He was a man of many skills and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Willie was preceded in death by his son Derric Adams, mother Mary Burnett, father Lee Adams, and sister Lizzie Bryant.

Survivors includes his wife of 36 years Barbara Adams of Clarkesville, son Willie Adams (AJ) of Clarkesville, son Erric Adams of Cornelia, daughter Raven Adams of Clarkesville, two brothers Jessie Burnett and Rosevelt Peterson both of Warner Robins, five sisters Barbara Simmons, Fannie Dinkins, Ethel Mae Jackson all of Warner Robins and Beatrice Dean and Iris Burnett both of Macon.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 2 PM at Hillside Memorial Chapel.
