Alice Marie (Russum) Baker

Alice Marie Baker, age 95, of Clarkesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Born in Habersham County on January 15, 1931, Alice was the daughter of the late Hubert Russum and Rosalie Gunn Russum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emslie Luke Baker.

Alice found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed needlepoint, spending time with her family and friends, and making memories at the beach. She will be remembered for her kind spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters, as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2026 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Pastor Ed Hood and Pastor Ryan Ginn, officiating. Interment will follow at Purpose Church at Bethel Temple Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
