Alpha Jane Allen Evans

Funeral services for Alpha Jane Allen Evans, age 80 of Mt. Airy will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 12, 2019 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Rev. Wayne Turk will officiate with interment to follow the service in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Evans passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 following an extended illness.

Born in Demorest, Georgia on April 23, 1939, Mrs. Evans was the daughter of the late Waring Samuel and Addie Pearl Franklin Allen.  Of the Christian Faith, Mrs. Evans was retired from Clarkesville Mill where she was a creeler.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans is preceded in death by sister Naomi Allen, sister Barbara Williams, brother in law Charles Williams, brother in law Raymond Dill and brother in law Horace Lewallen.

Survivors include her husband Bill Evans of Mt. Airy, son and daughter in law Tim and Donna Evans of Clarkesville and Steve and Lisa Evans of Mt. Airy, brother and sister in law Grady and Helen Allen of Mt. Airy, sisters Jessie Dill of Mt. Airy, Sarah Lewallen of Lula, Mary Smith (Neal) of Banks County and Omalee Smith (Sherman) of Banks County, grandchildren Becky Caudell (Steven), T.J. Evans (Kristen), April Standridge (Chris), Kyle Evans (Kayla) and Jacob Evans, great grandchildren Addie Caudell, Cooper, Macy and Colton Smith, Kelsie Hanley, Kylee and Kaci Evans, Ariel and Thomas Standridge, Makenzie and Dawson Evans as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
