Anthony Bruce "Tony" Charles

Anthony Bruce Charles, age 55 of Toccoa, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025.

Born in Demorest on January 29, 1969, Tony was the son of Gary Charles and the late Peggy Jean Wilbanks Bramlett.  Tony was self employed and has worked in many facets of the construction industry.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking, eating, singing karaoke and going on drives in the mud and snow.  More than anything, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.  In addition to his mother, Tony is preceded in death by sister Wendy Denise Charles and stepmom Delphia “Dee” Charles.

Survivors include his father Gary B. Charles of Turnerville, son and daughter in law Michael Anthony Charles and wife Tori of Turnerville, daughters Jessica Lyn Charles of Clarkesville and Katie Lyn Charles of Cornelia, granddaughter Lillian Jean Grace White, cousin Eli Simpson of Toccoa, as well as extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow the service in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service from 1-3 PM.
