Barbara Jeane Moore Perry, age 86 of Mt. Airy, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 22, 2021.
Born in Towns County, Georgia on April 17, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John Ferry & Lillie Esther Tatham Moore. Barbara loved her family and lived a life full of ministry. Crafts, hobbies, genealogy, sewing, cooking, and playing Scrabble were some of her favorite activities, along with family trips and traveling over the mountain. She was faithful and active in many church positions and ministries including VBS, WMU, preparing and serving meals for events, and the local soup kitchen. Barbara was the ultimate caregiver for her parents and for relatives and friends in times of need. She taught us all how to put others before self, and how to be joyful in serving others. Barbara taught by example, daily demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit and leaving an imprint on all the lives she touched. She was a faithful member of Glade Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Travis Wilson Perry, brother & sister-in-law, Lynn Tatham Moore & Sue P. Moore; sister & brother-in-law, Frances M. & Gerald Tanner; and by her grandson, Matthew Anderson.
