Catherine Ellen Wade, age 84 of Toccoa, passed away Friday, July 21st at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Habersham County on May 21, 1939, Mrs. Wade was the daughter of the late Clyde W. and Marjorie Dodd Franklin. Mrs. Wade was a homemaker and she loved to work in her yard. She loved flowers, crafting and gardening. Mrs. Wade also enjoyed fishing and cooking for those she loved, but above all she loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wade is preceded in death by her husband Garnette “Reggie” Wade and son Garnette Devin Wade.
Survivors include daughter Michelle Neal (Robin) of Mt. Airy, sister Charlene (Sam) Cooper of Mt. Airy, granddaughter Brooke (Justin) Walker of Cornelia, grandson Brett Wade of Gainesville, granddaughter Kristyn Neal of Mt. Airy, grandson Ethan Neal of Mt. Airy, great grandchildren Cason Wood, Jaxson Whitfield, Raelyn Tyre, Sammie Neal, Eli Neal, as well as a host of extended family and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM, Tuesday at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tony Goss officiating. Interment will follow the service in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service Tuesday, from 2:00 PM until the service.
