Christine Brady Blair

Christine Brady Blair, age 87 of Mt. Airy, Georgia took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 28, 2021 following an extended illness.

Born in Banks County, Georgia on September 26, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Ben Brady & Ella Arminda Farmer Brady Fricks. Christine worked in her home for many years before her career with Habersham County Schools in food service for over 15 years. “Nanny Christine” as she was affectionately known was an avid flower gardener, but most of all enjoyed spending precious time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church where she was involved in various church activities including the B.M.W.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett H. Blair; brothers, James Brady, Eugene “Buck” Brady, & Carson Brady; sisters, Irene Parker, Lurlene Hart, & Betty Ann Duckett.

Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Roger Dale & Angela Blair, Garnett Dwayne & Melanie Blair, all of Mt. Airy, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mamie & Ron Arrendale of Clarkesville, GA; Geraldine & Andrew Cragg of Stark, FL; grandchildren, Nathan Blair, Corey & Kezia Blair, Nicole & Logan Willard, Tabby Smith, Kayla Wade, Ashley Hilland; great-grandchidren, Abbigail Grace Blair, Hunter Eli Blair, Jayden Wade, Jetta Wade, Ashton Willard, Garrison Willard, & Jayla Grier; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Trent Smith & Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating at the graveside.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.
