Curtis “Lamar” Skelton, age 82 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his residence following a brief illness.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on June 19, 1941, he was a son of the late Curtis Lee & Annabelle Canup Skelton. Lamar retired from the trucking industry with over 50 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Most of all, Lamar cherished time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers & sister-in-law, Harold Skelton, Troy & Carolyn Skelton.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Lois Ledford Skelton; son & daughter-in-law, Ricky Lamar & Patsy Skelton; brothers & sister-in-law, Bruce Skelton; Jerry & Dale Skelton; grandchildren, Bryan Lamar Skelton; Tiffany Skelton & Drew Millwood; Ben & Marly Alvarado; great-grandchildren, Harper & Maren Millwood; Silas & Madigan Alvarado; nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Lamar’s wishes were to be cremated and private family services will be scheduled for a later time.
