Derrick Lane Lewallen

Funeral services for Derrick Lane Lewallen, age 43 of Baldwin, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Connie Berry, officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Derrick passed away on November 27, 2025.

Born in Demorest on February 14, 1982, Derrick was the son of Terry and Donna Roberts Lewallen.  Derrick had worked for many years as a data and fiber optic technician.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and NASCAR.  Derrick was an avid craftsman who enjoyed refinishing and repurposing furniture.  He was also an animal lover, especially his beloved Shadow.  

In addition to his parents, survivors include son and daughter in law Maddox and Chelsey W. Lewallen of Clarkesville, son Malachi Lewallen of Gainesville, brothers Kenneth Lee Lewallen of Baldwin and Michael Shane Lewallen of Baldwin, sister Kristina Danielle Lewallen Rafferty (Kevin) of Baldwin, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
