Edith (Bryson) Holt

Edith Bryson Holt, age 96 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.

Born in Scaly Mountain, North Carolina on June 05, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Zeb & Margaret Sanders Bryson. Edith was a homemaker and member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Holt; daughter, Merle Holt Grizzle; and brothers, Herschel Bryson, Hayward Bryson, Ray Bryson, & Neville Bryson.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Joyce & William Bray of Clarkesville, GA; son-in-law, Rev. Donald Grizzle of Clarkesville, GA; brother and sister in law, Paul and Bernice Bryson of Homer, GA; grandchildren, Juanita & Dan Welborn of Clarkesville, Chris & Alana Ritchie of Dawsonville, Jamie & David Dills of Clarkesville, Ashley Kemp of Dahlonega, and Hannah Bray of Clarkesville; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Edna Bryson of Clarkesville, Marie Bryson of Clarkesville and Pat Beasley of Cornelia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Donald Grizzle and Elder Paul Bryson officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Hillside Gardens Cemetery with Rev. William Bray officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
