Ernest Wayne Ivester

Ernest Wayne Ivester, age 76 of Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 21, 2023.

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on October 23, 1946, he was a son of the late Ernest Guy & Dorothy Ioma Ivester. Wayne was retired after many years working in the Automotive Industry. He was the former owner of G & G Paint & Body Shop and former Used Car Manager with Honda Cars of Bradenton, Florida. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed woodworking and creating stained glass.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Ivester and two infant brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Sandra Godfrey Ivester of Demorest, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Windy Michelle Abernethy of Bradenton, FL; Michelle & Robert Cranford of Clover, SC; son & girlfriend, Luther James Ivester & Denise Lacno of Honolulu, HI; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; other relatives, & friends.

Mr. Ivester’s wishes were to be cremated.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
