Irene Hunt Hunt

Irene Hunt Hunt, age 93 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2020.

Born in the Persimmon Community of Rabun County, Georgia on January 16, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wesley & Lona Addis Hunt. Irene was a caregiver for many years. She enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, & the companionship of her dogs. Most of all, Irene loved the Lord and her family dearly. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Hunt; grandchildren, Don Woodall & Crystal Lovell Toler; sisters, Ruby Stapp & Beulah York; & brother, Johnny Hunt.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Martha & Phil Black of Clarkesville, GA; daughter, Lynn Westmoreland of Statham, GA; son, John Hunt of Clarkesville, GA; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-granchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarkesville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Sunday.
