James Robert "Jimmy" Holcomb

James Robert Holcomb, age 77 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 04, 2020 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Rabun County, Georgia on April 27, 1943, he was a son of the late Grady & Maude Tyler Holcomb. James was self-employed in the logging industry for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed building various things to help around the home and working on cars. James especially loved being outdoors sitting on his front porch in the swing watching wildlife and waving at his neighbors passing by. He was a faithful member of Bible Way Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Talmadge Holcomb; sisters, Betty Evans & Evelyn Ramey.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Suelle Mooney Holcomb; son & daughter-in-law, Rickey & Vickie Holcomb all of Clarkesville, GA; brother, Dewey Holcomb of Toccoa, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 08, 2020 at Bible Way Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Dills officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
