Janet Gail Addis Burton

Janet Gail Addis Burton, age 65 of Cornelia, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 19, 2024.

Born in Demorest, Georgia on June 02, 1959, she was a daughter of the late Wilford Emmett & Lucille Cross Addis. Janet was a graduate of Habersham Central High School and worked as a receptionist with the Habersham County Senior Center for a number of years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to  Southern Gospel music. Most of all, Janet treasured precious time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Addis.

Survivors include her children, Misty & Chris Keheley, Jeremy & Misty Burton all of Cleveland, GA; Joshua & Kaelee Burton of Clarkesville, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Dennis Addis of Cornelia, GA; Randy & Rita Addis, Steve Addis all of Clarkesville, GA; Kenneth Addis of Baldwin, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Nancy & Mark Cannon of Demorest, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Grier, Christian Keheley, Damien Keheley, Dorian Keheley, Matthew Burton, Sadie Burton, Jeremiah Burton, Josiah Burton, & Aria Burton; great-grandchildren, Ember Grier & Serenity Keheley; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2024 at Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.
