Joey Clifton Dooley

Joey Clifton Dooley, age 40 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019.

Born in Toccoa, Georgia on October 24, 1978, he was a son of Margaret Ann Lyles Dooley of Toccoa, Georgia & the late James Fred “Sonny” Dooley. Joey was a 1997 graduate of Stephens County High School, attended Tusculum College, and graduated from North Georgia Technical College with a degree in Computer Technology. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed helping his two daughters with various sports activities. Joey was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, woodworking, hunting, and enjoyed cooking. He attended Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Connextion Church of Cornelia, and was also a member of the Toccoa Masonic Lodge #309 F&AM.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his loving wife of 15 years, Alicia Tyler Dooley, daughters, Grace & Claire Dooley all of Cornelia, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Amanda & Chris Shirley of Toccoa, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Mike & Allison Dooley of Clemson, SC; Sam & Julie Dooley of Toccoa, GA; Tim & Wanda Dooley of Pierre Part, LA; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Terry & Cindy Tyler of Cornelia, GA; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Lacy & Jonathan Harris of Cornelia, GA; brother-in-law, Dakota Tyler of Cornelia, GA; grandmother-in-law, Linda Williams of Mt. Airy, GA; many nieces, nephews, & a host of friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 from the Hillside Chapel with Dr. Butch Franklin, Rev. Johnny Thomas, & Coach Brian Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery in Mt. Airy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
