John Pritchard Obituary

John Dean Pritchard, age 83 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018.

Born in Heaton, North Carolina on April 12, 1935, Mr. Pritchard was the son of the late James Riley and Mildred Shell Pritchard.  He was the owner and operator of P & P Trucking and he was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Pritchard was preceded in death by wife Carol Pickett Pritchard, son Robert E. Pritchard, brother Charles Pritchard, and sister Elizabeth Brock.

Survivors include sons Brian Edward Pritchard (Judy) of Gonzales, Louisiana, James Riley Pritchard of Mt. AIry, Georgia, Joel Pritchard (Joan) of Clarkesville, Georgia, brothers James Harold Pritchard of Quitman, Texas and Barry Keith Pritchard of Johnson City, Tennessee, sisters Cynthia Kaye Pritchard of Rowlett, Texas, Joyce Marie Franklin of Johnson City, Tennessee and Deborah Rose Stites of Owensboro, Kentucky, as well as five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Johnson City, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, Georgia on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
