Katherine Genelia Ledford

Katherine Genelia Ledford, age 79 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Born on Warwoman Road, Clayton on April 4, 1941, Ms. Ledford was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva Mae Hooper Ledford. Ms. Ledford was retired from Clarkesville Mill and she was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents Ms. Ledford is preceded in death by brothers Eugene Ledford, Lawrence “Larry” Ledford, sisters Brenda Smith, Wanda Pittman, Helen Lewis, Carol Black and Gail Stancil, sister in law Patricia Ledford and brothers in law William Lewis, Bill Black and Paul Frankum, nephew Robert Ledford and nieces Teresa Ledford-Goss and Sarah Ivester.

Survivors include brother and sister in law Howard and Judy Ledford of Clarkesville, sisters and brothers in law Martha and Charles Hazel and Liz and Junior Sugg of Clarkesville, sister Virginia Frankum of Clarkesville, brothers in law Charles Pittman of Woodstock, Charles Smith of Toccoa and Carol Stancil of Toccoa, sister in law Janice Ledford of Clarkesville as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In consideration of public health and safety, private graveside services will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
