Louis "Louie" Robert Laferriere

Louis “Louie” Robert Laferriere, age 47, of Clarkesville, passed away on June 3, 2025, after a courageous 5 ½ year battle with cancer.

Born on September 25, 1977, in Wareham, MA, Louie was the son of Robert and Bernie Gould Laferriere. He was a dedicated lab technician with Dewtex in Toccoa and attended The Torch. Louie had a deep love for nature and cherished his time spent hiking, riding bikes, and playing golf. An avid music enthusiast, he enjoyed sharing his passion through his YouTube channel. Louie was also a valued member of the Monday and Thursday bowling leagues at Clarkesville Lanes. He was a brave soul and a proud United States Army Veteran.

Above all, Louie’s greatest joy came from his daughters, Hayden Laferriere of Toccoa and Riley S. Laferriere of Clarkesville, whom he adored and cherished.   Louie is also survived by his parents, Robert and Bernie Laferriere of Clarkesville; his sisters, Jessica L. Baltimore (Jason) of Clarkesville and Angela Willis (Tommy) of Wareham, MA; his nephews, Tommy Willis, Jacob Baltimore, and Will Baltimore; his nieces, Rachel Willis and Lauryn Baltimore; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Hillside Memorial Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A private family service will be held at a later date.
