Marie Elizabeth Cribb Sternhardt, age 81 of Cornelia, Georgia took her heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 06, 2023 following an extended illness.
Born in Savannah, Georgia on January 01, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Adrian Woodrow Cribb, Sr. & the late Theo Sutton Cribb. Marie was a licensed practical nurse for many years before retirement. She was a Believer of the Non-Denominational Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Smith Simmons and by her brother, A.W. “Bo” Cribb, Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband of 31 ½ years, Theodore “Ted” Sternhardt of Cornelia, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Robert H. & Linda Benfield Smith of Baldwin, GA; step-daughter, Lisa Gordon, step-son, Gary Sternhardt both of Brookfield, CT; grandchildren, Brittany Smith Davidson & her husband, Josh of Baldwin, GA; W. Kyle Smith & his fiancé, Megan of Baldwin GA; great-grandchildren, Cohen Smith, Laney Minish, Bristol Davidson, & Jeb Davidson; step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sternhardt & Michael Gordon; nephew, Robbie Cribb, niece, Margie Kelsey & their families; several other extended relatives, & a host of friends.
A private interment was held at Demorest City Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ron Glaze officiating.
