Mary Nelle (Callenback) Dover

Mary Nelle Callenback Dover, age 77 of Clarkesville, passed away February 15, 2025.

Born in Laurens, South Carolina, Mrs. Dover was the daughter of the late Willie and Mary Lee Holt Callenback.  Mrs. Dover worked for many years at Clarkesville Garment and Clarkesville Mill.  She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dover is preceded in death by husband Willard “Jack” Dover, daughter Debbie Dover Wood, granddaughter Kendra Dover and grandson Kyle Wood, and brothers J.W. Williams, Jack Callenback and Leroy Callenback.

Survivors include son Eddie Dover of Clarkesville, son and daughter in law Steve “Booter” and Nicole Dover of Clarkesville, son Andy Dover of Reidsville, sister Pauline Frady of Lakemont, son in law David Wood of Clarkesville, grandchildren Brela Dover, Kasedy Dover, Tanner Dover, Corbett Dover, Laura Dover and Drew Dover, three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad Dover, Rev. Chad Dale, and Mr. Oaky Dover, officiating.  Interment will follow the service in Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Thursday from 1-2 PM.
