Mary Magdalene (Cragg) McConnell

Memorial services for Mary Magdalene Cragg McConnell, age 85, of Mt. Airy will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24th from the Hillside Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ryan Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2-3 PM.

Mrs. McConnell passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Lula, Georgia on January 31, 1932, Mrs. McConnell was the daughter of the late Levi Jasper and Ruth Leona Wiggley Cragg.  Mrs. McConnell was retired from Orbit Manufacturing and she attended Fivestones Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McConnell is preceded in death by daughter Bobbie Elaine McConnell Brown, son in law Tony Brown, and sister Zora Mae Cragg Moore.

Survivors include son and daughter in law Larry D. and Shelia McConnell of Cornelia, daughters and sons in law Cindy McConnell Kastner and Hal Kastner of Mt. Airy and Brenda Lee McConnell Fry and Russell Fry of Demorest, son Gary Raymond McConnell of Mt. Airy, brother and sister in law Andrew and Gearldine Cragg of Starke, Florida, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
