Monica Kathleen (Gerrells) Hamilton

Funeral services for Monica Kathleen Gerrells Hamilton, age 63 of Clarkesville will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Rev. Van Smith and Rev. Robert Beavers will officiate with interment to follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens, Cleveland.

Mrs. Hamilton passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

Born in Hall county on May 28, 1955, Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of Jimmie Nell Harkins Medlock and the late Monroe Gerrells.  She and her husband Jerry, were the owners and operators of the Clarkesville Dairy Queen until their retirement.  Mrs. Hamilton was very active in the raising of her children and greatly enjoyed being involved with their lives, especially at their Monday Night get-togethers.  She was very passionate about providing for children and through their business was very involved with the Children's Miracle Network.  Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Mossy Creek Methodist Church.  

Survivors include husband Jerry Harold Hamilton of Clarkesville, mother Jimmie Nell Medlock of Dalton, son Charlie Hamilton (Alexis) and grandson Oliver of Lawrenceville, daughter Katie Hamilton (Alex Brenner) of Atlanta and Clarkesville, brother Doug Gerrells (Chris) of Dalton, sisters Maxine Crane (Herbert) of Camilla, Sandra Stowers (Keith) of Dawsonville and Bernice Rainey (Davis) of Jefferson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
