Robert “Bobby” McShain Browning, age 59, of Clarkesville passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2024. 

Born in Miami, FL on April 1, 1964. He is the son of the late Johnny and Millie Browning. Bobby was raised in Marathon, FL where he spent his childhood days fishing, diving, boating, and all things sun and salt! He attended Marathon High School in Marathon, Florida.  

Bobby and his parents relocated to Clarkesville, Georgia in the mid 1980s where he lived for the remainder of his life. Bobby was an outdoor enthusiast, who was a jack of all trades. Bobby was a landscaper, he owned and operated Bear Gap Landscaping, he was also a welder, HVAC technician, a commercial fisherman and fishing guide in the North Georgia Mountains, but most of all he was a beloved friend who many consider to be family. 

Bobby was the beloved uncle and Godfather of Marley, Hunter and Brooke Brevard, and Edmond and Charisma Jenkins. He also leaves behind his constant companions Little Mite and Bobcat. Other survivors include Tom (Corky) & Cathy Lewis of Melbourne, FL, Barbara Braddock & Hillary Braddock, Melbourne, FL, Derinda Clemens, Roca, Nebraska, Joseph Braddock & Alyssa Armstrong, Melbourne, FL. Brother John Browning Jr., his sister Valerie Helms (Mike), his sister Cindy Plaggemeyer (Lloyd) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held this spring in Georgia. Details to be announced amongst family and friends at a later date.
