Ronald Arrendale, age 88 of Clarkesville, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on August 12, 1937, Ron was the son of the late Frank and Eunice Watts Arrendale. In addition to his parents Ron was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Renee Allen, sister Jemmie Helen Arrendale VanWinkle and brother Donald Arrendale.
Ron was married to his wife Mamie Brady Arrendale for almost 68 years. Ron was very passionate about being a steward of the land God had given him. He also enjoyed producing a bountiful garden he shared with so many people. Ron also enjoyed camping and fishing. Ron worked as a farm consultant for the U S Department of Agriculture for almost 40 years. After retirement he drove a school bus for Habersham County School System.
Survivors include his wife Mamie Brady Arrendale, son and daughter in law David Arrendale (Erin) of Demorest, and son in law Doug Allen of Mt. Airy, grandchildren Hannah Hunsucker (Tristan), Elias Arrendale, Aidan Arrendale, Lycan Arrendale, Noble Arrendale, Shiloh Arrendale, Winter Arrendale, great grandchild Navy Hunsucker, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Pastor Trent Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, April 24, 2026, 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Interment will follow the service in the Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
