Ronald Olean Nash

Ronald Olean Nash, age 75 of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Habersham County, Mr. Nash was the son of the late Ernest H. and Rebecca Miller Nash.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Nash is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Gail Dorroh Nash, brothers Danny Nash and Benjamin Nash and sisters Emogene Holibaugh and Frances Johnson.

Affectionately known as “Bear”, “PaPa Bear” and “Ronny”, by all who knew and loved him, one of Bear’s most important things in life was the property he was raised on and the responsibility he took to see that it was cared for.  By profession, Ronny was an electrician.  He had worked for Jones Electric, B.J.’s Mechanical, and Best Electric. Ronny enjoyed sharing in fellowship on many hunting and fishing trips where he would most often be found  around a campfire or preparing a delicious meal.  He graduated from North Habersham High School where he played football, and always valued the importance of keeping up with his old classmates.  In his spare time, Ronny loved to “fix” things, watch western shows, and could never be found without a book. 

Survivors include sons and daughters in law Charles Matthew Nash (Heather Oliver Nash) of Clarkesville and Andrew Clark Nash (Danielle Maggs Nash) of Jenkinsburg, brother Kenny Nash, grandchildren Camden Nash, Claire Nash, McKenzie Nash, Nathaniel Nash, Aaron Nash and Benjamin Nash, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Austin Kelley, officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
