Ryan Jonathan Surls

Ryan Jonathan Surls, age 35 of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2020.

Born in Dothan, Alabama on January 13, 1985, he was a son of James Curtis Surls & Tonia Walker Surls of Clarkesville, Georgia. Ryan was a builder for many years who owned/operated Surls Construction Company. He enjoyed anything outdoors which included hunting, fishing, & kayaking. He was fast, wild, fun, & ran a good honest business. Ryan was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. Most of all, he loved his family tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bud & Gloria Hunt Surls; Ed Sapp; & uncle, Lee Roy Walker.

Survivors include his parents, James Curtis & Tonia Walker Surls of Clarkesville, GA; better half, Brittany Godfrey of Demorest, GA; children, Sarah Surls, Hunter Surls, Ronnie Green, Boone Green, Kaydence Green, & Karli Dean all of Demorest, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Brandon & Jessica Surls of Clarkesville, GA; Travis & Kristy Surls of Cornelia, GA; Tyson Surls of Tennessee; grandmother, Callie Sapp of Tennessee; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Nix officiating. Interment will follow in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
