Shirley Ouzts Fry

Shirley Ouzts Fry, age 75 of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 04, 2024.

Born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on January 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Rube Elton & Lillian Elizabeth Peek Ouzts. Shirley was a poultry farmer for many years working alongside her husband, Boyd. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, shopping, and trips out to eat. Most of all, Shirley loved precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Boyd Thomas Fry; son, Michael Thomas Fry; brothers, James Ouzts, Earl Ouzts, & Jerry Ouzts; and a sister, Mary “Dink” Kirkendoll.

Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, James & Frances Hunnicutt Fry of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, T.C. Fry & Taylor Fry of Toccoa, GA; Logan Fry & Ragan Fry of Cornelia, GA; sisters, Lillie Mae Allison of Demorest, GA; Joann Baker of Oconto Falls, WI; Bobbie Wigtion of Rockford, IL; Frances Ferguson of Cornelia, GA; Judy Quinlan of Rockford, IL; brother, Charlie Ouzts of Grand Rapids, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Monday, June 10, 2024.
