Thomas P. Dalton of Demorest, Georgia, formerly of Niceville, Florida passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 73.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was born in Rochester, NY on November 1, 1947, All Saints’ Day, to John B. Dalton and Dorothy Leeds Dalton. He graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1966. He married Sheila Dalton in 1967 and they had two children, Gretchen Lee and Michael John.

He had a long career in the telecommunications industry, beginning at Rochester Telephone in 1967, United Telephone in Naples, FL and ending with Century Link in Fort Walton Beach, FL where he retired in 2003.

He always loved working on cars, including his beloved white VW convertible, and was talented at any building project he tackled, from roofing an old home to building furniture for his family and friends. In his younger years, he loved being outside at the beach, swimming, bicycling, and sailing on his Sunfish pontoon boat. He had a reputation for being a very hard worker, while being very funny and charming. He was very generous and loyal to his family.

He is survived by his friend and companion of many years, Joyce Goddard, his children, Michael John Dalton and Gretchen (Scott) Dalton Anglin, as well as grandchildren, Morgan Charlotte Anglin, William Lanier Anglin, and Margaret “Maggie” Anglin. And by 8 siblings, Julia Battle, Jackie Turbak, Michael Dalton (Jean), Daniel (Joyce) Dalton, Barbara (Hans) Kaunath, Kathleen Dalton, and Theresa Hart, as well as 28 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
