William Roy Johnson Obituary

William Roy Johnson, age 74 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Hot Springs, North Carolina on October 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Leroy & Frankie Sands Johnson. Roy served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired programmer with TVA Electric Company with 15 years of dedicated service.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded death by his wife, Carol Mahaffey Johnson.

Survivors include his son, Tim Johnson of Athens, TN; daughters, Stephanie Kirksey of Clarkesville, GA; Alicia Leach of Old Fort, TN; sisters, Alma Cooper, Lucille Johnson, & Dorothy Johnson; & 4 grandchildren.

Roy’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services are planned.
