Wilton Earl Collins

Wilton Earl Collins, age 86 of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at his residence. 

 Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Dr. Craig Ward and Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate, with burial to follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church, prior to the service from 2-3 p.m.

Born in Gray Court, SC, on September 27, 1936, Mr. Collins was the son of Joe and Lillie Maude Collins. Mr. Collins was an Air Force veteran having served in the District of Columbia Air National Guard.  He was employed as a senior official with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for 40 years.  Upon retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Collins moved to Clarkesville, GA in 2000. Mr. Collins was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville.   In addition to his parents, Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his wife Judy Collins and son Kevin Mark Collins.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Mike Fugate of Powell, Tennessee; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Misty Collins of Ooltewah, Tennessee, brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Annette Collins of Easley, SC and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ernest Hill of Gray Court, South Carolina, grandchildren Sarah Fugate, Andrew Fugate, Trent Collins, Corbin Collins, Michael Collins and Angela Collins, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
